Have you ever wondered who created your favorite mural in Denver? Do you know the difference between graffiti and street art? Are you tired of seeing art inside? Well then take to the streets with Rebel Tours — a walking tour adventure to see Denver's street art scene, in all its glory, beauty, significance and, of course, rebellion.
For Founder and Lead Tour Guide Cori Anderson, it all started as an obsession with street art. Of any kind, anywhere. After a jaunt of world traveling in her early 20's, Anderson came back to Colorado with the goal of pursuing art and writing.
In October 2017, Anderson guided a group of design professionals around RiNo's buzzing street art, leading her to form The Street Art Network (SAN). SAN's creed is to give proper kudos to the artists who make the streets and alleys and dumpster and sidewalks sing with color and personality. The best way to do this is to guide people through the ever-evolving landscape with the person who never gets lost.
Launching April 27, 2018, Rebel Tours (a subset of The Street Art Network) will show off Denver's street art in two different neighborhoods — RiNo and Art District on Santa Fe. Each tour lasts roughly 90 to 120 minutes, including a brief introduction, seeing the art and concluding with a special activity. Tours are $20 per person.
On June 1, 2018 Rebel Tours will also add the third neighborhood to their roster — Downtown Denver.
